Okay. Roor here again and this is an effort in order to get out forums active again. Yelly, Zero, Chozo and myself have taken it upon ourselves (oh great…) to get you space monkeys in here and making this a more lively place! I will try to give bi-weekly updates but at least have one update a week (if Yelly doesn’t cancel me) so show your support for me and the {PM} community!

There are threads that will interest everyone, like if you wanna hear something nice go to the Something Nice v 1.0 thread! All you gotta do is say something nice about the above poster then someone will say something nice about you! Or if you don’t see something you like start your own thread and see who else likes what you have to say (or troll about it XD)

As the three of you currently reading this may have noticed, Yelly has taken upon himself the Sisyphean task of making the front page actually worth something beyond a link to the server stats. Having decided that trying to get people to read and follow the “no racial epithets/ethnic slurs” server rule is like herding cats, Yelly (official towel boy of {PM}’s Inner Circle) has instead chosen to focus on the more modest aspiration of making {PM}’s front page the next Ubercharged, but “better gooder and stuff”. To this end he has recruited us, the literati of the {PM} membership, to bring you joy, happiness, and wildly-inappropriate image macros.

Unfortunately, Operation Cleaveland Steamer Ubercharged.net hit a major snag when we all realized that a “literati” by {PM} standards is a “shit-eating retard” by everyone else’s. We also realized that (unlike in the movies) we can not fix this with a snappy training montage, even if it does have some kickass music. And then there’s the fact that {PM} lacks a multi-server empire and/or podcast through which we can easily spread our message of woe, our petty fiefdom sustaining itself on the donations/bribery that we make Tristram pay when he wears out his welcome (again).

But hey, if there’s one thing the uniquely-abled amongst us are good at, it’s approaching every task without the petty concerns the occupy the minds of the mundanes, like “feasability”, “practicality”, or “plausibility”. We’re gonna write up this bitch, and you’re going to think it’s the most awesomest thing in the history of awesome. Or Vish will facestab you again.

“But Chozo, Vish facestabs me anyway!” you’re saying. Yeah, well, he’ll do it to you harder. What now, smart guy? And then I’ll headshot you as Vish facestabs you, and you’ll be very sad that you have been shown who is the boss(es).

Anyway, if you haven’t guessed by now, I am Chozo, one of the new {PM} contributors, clan demoknightsnipyro, and that which confronts you in the dark abyss of your own madness when you stare into the face of an eldritch god. I look forward to bringing down the quality of your life post-by-post.

Hello! roor here giving my shot as the front page editor. if you like my post/have requests i will be sure to take it into account in future postings

anyway, I will go down the list of classes with some (hopefully) helpful tips:

Scout:
-flanking at point blank range with your scatter gun/FaN can be a very lethal hit/s (dmg is 85-105 point blank)
-circle strafing and changing directions with your bat can often confuse/disorient many opponents
-your bonk! can distract sentries to let demos and soldiers take them out much easier

Soldier:
-your best advantage is height. So either try rocket jumping to high places or use higher elevation in maps.
-it usually takes 2-3 direct hits to take out a sentry.
-during battle if you’re out of ammo estimate how many rockets it will take to take out your attacker so you’re not wasting time reloading unnecessary rockets.

With Vish on hiatus recently we’ve all been a little bit more comfortable with picking sniper and befriending scouts; unfortunately Corporal_Punishment has taken it upon himself to play Spy. I’d congratulate him if he could hear me.

If you’re reading this it means Yelly has decided I’m not retarded, so thanks to him. Kudos for getting this put together while job-hunting, good luck on landing something. I’ll focus on putting up some decent content to amuse all of you space monkeys on your journey into space. While you’re up there, feel free to give me some feedback or suggestions on what you want to see or what you really wish you hadn’t seen.

Before you all dillydally off to the forums I want to remind everybody that even if the server is empty, feel free to join up anyways and just hang around for a few minutes, things will start to fill up. We’re all staring at the empty server thinking “well I don’t want to join”.

I don’t want to build up your excitement about this… or do I? Look for some new contributors to show up on the front page soon. I would say give them a few days to kick the tires and learn how to submit content before it shows up. But, get excited nonetheless!
